What it is like to have ADHD?| A Day In My Life With ADHD (My Morning & School)

What it is like to have ADHD?| A Day In My Life With ADHD
(My Morning & School)

Yes, ADHD is real, and it affects my life drastically, there is not a day when I forget for a second that I have ADHD (not ADD).

This is a short post about what it's like throughout the day with ADHD.
The rest of the post, After School (Homework) and Night Time, will be posted next week.
My Mornings:

Most people without ADHD can focus on getting ready for school in no time. They don’t have to get up extra early to have time to get ready for school, and have room for distractions. But those people are not me.

When I get downstairs I’m supposed to take my small pill, and to be honest it’s quite a struggle for me. I have been taking small pills about every morning for two years. Sometimes I think, I won’t need to take my pills I’m just fine. Then it kicks me in the butt later on in the day, when I can’t focus, can't read well, and cannot talk about one subject at at time.

After I have taken my small pill, I read the dry erase board (it’s one of the things my family does for my sister and I to stay organized, especially with ADHD.) The board sometimes has notes from my parents, like trash day. However, the main reason we have the whiteboard is so that my sister and I can write a "todo list" of what we need to get done (it also makes getting ready less stressful for me.)

My mom has made a rule that we cannot use electronics in the morning, but it does not mean I follow it all the way. I do try, but one minute I check a text and then I've looked at my whole social media feed, and time has passed, and it is a half an hour till school!

School| With Medication

School is not as hard for me since I have already taken medication, but there are some days when it feels like the medication did not even work.

School|Without Medication

School without medication is like having 20 people trying to talk to you at one time, and you are trying to sort out what they are saying, but they just keeping getting louder and louder. It can drive me crazy because the reality is you are sitting in a quiet classroom.

Sister's Birthday

I am so happy that my sister had a good birthday.

We all were exhausted at the end, I was cooking a two layer cake and spicy caramelized chicken at the same time. Best work yet.

The cake turned out amazing.

Success | Caramelized Spicy Chicken

It was an amazing dinner! A great success, which shocks me. It took about 2 hours, and an easy clean up. I just cut the chicken in bite size chunks.

My family surprisingly loved it!

However, when my dad and mom got home they said they were afraid they would not be able to eat it both of them said it smells like our dogs food. :)

My father said he enjoyed it despite the smell.

The smell does wear off after a while, so leftovers are not that bad, but I would not stick my nose in it.

My sister and I fought over for leftovers, so I am going to making it again tomorrow for her birthday. (I bet she would love it if you guys would say happy birthday in the comments).

With my semi-big family I mixed the rice to make it go farther.

And diffidently follow the instructions on cooking it till caramelized, it makes it taste amazing.

Here are some pictures of my amazing success:
