Digging For Diamonds - Colorado

      About 20 minutes was as long as it took for Bobbie Oskarson, visiting from Colorado to find an " 8.52-carat diamond at Carter of Diamonds State Park" (Strege)

      Luckily the park allowed visitors to keep the diamonds they found. Oskarsson's diamond was " the fifth largest diamond ever found by a visitor " at the state park.

        This was Oskarson's first time at the Crater of Diamonds State Park, and decided to visit the park. "And what a lucky first visit it was for her" park interpreter Waymon Cox said.

      No one knows how much the gem is worth, they would have to got to a jeweler to find out.
